:::::::::: I believe Waddletooth only spawn near shores and they are actually pretty scarce (to the point I'm having trouble finding enough Waddletooth Loin to see how much I can store in one pouch slot). Critters rarely do sit in their nests but it's an old habit of me to always check them first. Although being almost impossible to confirm when there are no nests, and since no one is praying on them, critters can always be found in the near vicinity of their spawn locations which makes a better starting point to search for them than empty nests. I'm glad you removed the nests but kept spawn locations on the map, it makes it less frustrating to hunt Critters down! Here are a few more locations I can confirm : 970 - 674 - 648 - 646 - 651 - 554 - 601 - 661 - 636 - 608 - 668 - 643 - 522 - 523 - 509 - 654 - 448 - 520 - 671 - 659 - 507 - 447 - 641 - 587 - 605 - 936 - 612 - 635 - 672. -- Wikiscout (talk) 11:30, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

How to make sure personal data is safe?

How does the map retain specific user information like completed/not completed? I want to make sure changes are saved even though my browser is set to always delete cookies. -- Wikiscout (talk) 01:56, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

All the user data (completed, game version, selected layers) is saved in the localStorage of your browser. It is not using cookies, and the data is therefore not leaving your computer. The permalinks (to specific IDs, coordinates or layers) are using the hash portion of the URL (e.g. #id=123), that is also not sent to the server, but is only evaluated by your browser. The map isn't setting any cookies at all. Istador (talk) 07:42, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

Confirmed locations

ID 1015
Some other locations I can confirm are :
776 - 685 - 540 - 541 - 545 (only one item, not 2) - 682 - 775 - 681 - 778 and 546

Suggestion : it would be useful to have an extra layer highlighting unconfirmed locations. -- Wikiscout (talk) 05:46, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

The ID is enough information to confirm it. You can also send me a bigger list of IDs.
There are two button in the first row at the bottom left. The first one affects how completed markers are highlighted/shown and the second button is for the styling of unconfirmed markers. Both settings can be combined in any way. Highlighting unconfirmed markers red is not the default as it would be very displeasing visually and most of the data should be correct anyway. Thank you very much for your replies. I removed irrelevant info from my previous message and added some new locations. I believe the map is protected and you are the one in charge for the edits so I will let you change the status of those items by yourself. Once you are done with it feel free to delete the IDs I have confirmed on this page. -- Wikiscout (talk) 09:07, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
I just double checked 545 in-game, it is one material cluster with one material source that is giving 2xIcon-Item-DullrockDullrock. So the amount on the map is correct. In Beta 1 all material and food sources were giving two items. Since Beta 2 it was changed so that most resource sources give only one item, except for Icon-Item-DullrockDullrock and Icon-Item-MarrwoodMarrwood which still give two items per spot. Thank you for the explanation, it makes a lot of sense. Here are some more locations I can confirm : 443 - 444 - 492 - 1049 - 1044 - 22 - 16 - 569 - 25 - 529 - 704 - 482 - 544 - 777. Wikiscout (talk) 22:35, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
Confirmed. 16, 22 and 25 were already confirmed before. Istador (talk) 23:04, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
Sorry about that, I was confusing Item ID with Location ID. Here are a bunch of locations I can confirm : 982 - 548 - 549 - 575 - 417 - 556 - 580 - 716 - 466 - 710 - 959 - 515 - 575 - 175 - 733 - 717 - 510 - 467 - 557 - 675 - 583 - 414. -- Wikiscout (talk) 07:16, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Confirmed. 175 was already confirmed before. You reported 575 twice. -- Istador (talk) 19:07, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
More locations I can confirm : 1067 - 1068 - 966 - 1052 - 1064 - 915 - 917 - 921 - 962 - 968 - 940 - 941. One location I could not find is ID 1066. It was supposed to be an Alpafant spawn, but there is barely enough space for their nests and they are not in the vicinity. I checked several times and it seems this one did not make it to Version 1.0. -- Wikiscout (talk) 02:30, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
I've seen Alpafants there with Patch 4, so the spawn is definitely there, see this video (warning: spoilers). Spawn doesn't equals nest. There can be a nest without a spawn or a spawn without a nest. The Beta 1 version of the map contained nest locations, whereas since Beta 2 I only show spawns.
I don't include the nests in the map anymore, because they are quite unreliable. Waddletooth nests can be found all over the map, but they don't spawn there (the little mud hills). And some critter nests also had Bleekers in them additional to the Alpafants and Puffles.
